Ron, Diana, Cait and Sam Talk about Season 2

With "Outlander" Season 2 in the works, viewers can start looking forward to the show's [Spoiler (click to open)]change in setting from 18th century Scotland to 18th century Paris even as they're counting down the days for the second half of Season 1 to premiere on April 4 on Starz.

[Spolers for Season 2!]
'Outlander' Season 2: Everyone's excited for Paris and aging up

Showrunner Ron Moore previously confirmed that the show won't actually be shooting in France, and instead the production will be finding ways for other locations to double for Paris. When Zap2it spoke with Moore on the carpet before "Outlander's" 2015 Paleyfest panel, he offered an update on the Season 2 concepts.

"We'll be building interiors in Scotland. We're going to scout in the south of England, we're going to scout in Eastern Europe; we're looking for places that can be the streets of Paris. Where do we find Paris 1745 to shoot? Because Paris today doesn't really look like that anymore," he says.

Author Diana Gabaldon is excited about what she's seen so far of Season 2 plans. "The Parisian stuff is very good, and in fact I'm deeply impressed by the outlines I've seen of those scripts," she says. "I think they've done a wonderful job of pulling out the most important plot elements and arranging them in a convincing way."

In addition to Parisian adventures, there also is a time jump to look forward to in Season 2. Since "Outlander" is going to age up stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan instead of recasting them, Zap2it asked them how they were preparing to suddenly act 20 years older.

After some jokes about their changing appearances, both actors expressed enthusiasm for the challenge. Heughan notes, "It's exciting. We get to take the characters forward."

"I think it'll be fun. I think it's great to be able to play someone's life," Balfe says, offering some spoilers of what's coming up in the following season. "So often it's all chronological and you play the one age. Now I get to play a woman who has a child who's in her late teens who's gone through this whole life of experience. That's going to be really interesting. It's going to be great to get to research all of that."

why are they asking Sam about older!Jamie? I don't think we'll get to see him in s2.
Also, I still think Bordeaux or Prague are the best for Fake!Paris out there
